Elephant Hotel - Pangbourne

Like most hotels the rooms are small but clean and everything worked , easy to say but the decoration in the public areas could be improved . The breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant. If we needed to visit Pangbourne again we would stay at this Hotel. It would be nice to have stayed nearer the river ? But the river is very close , visit the Swan (pub) on nice warm day sit outside great view of the river .

The hotel itself has a great feel, adding to this is the staff and the local atmosphere in the pub. I was recommended this hotel by a colleague and I will be recommending the hotel to other colleagues and friends.

Excellent bar and good range of food

Rooms are small, and little room to work in (the desk being occupied by the coffee tray).

The location of this hotel was great for where I wanted to be in the morning. Free wireless internet in the rooms as well as free parking were also good plus points

Hotel was clean,hotel room was on the small side,but very well presented, en suit excellent, Staff very good, would recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a place in the country side, thus picked up this hotel. But since we were coming from Stonor Park, after attending a show and travelling almost midnight....the way going to the hotel was somewhat scary and far. But the hotel itself is ok. I didnt like the wallpaper in the room though. An Egyptian Design something, cant really remember anymore..., also it darkens the room and gives an eerie feeling. Breakfast was ok...and the general ambiance of the hotel was very good and relaxing. The garden would be better with some improvements. Staff is very helpful, friendly and accomodating...

Nothing really...except the distance. But then again, it depends from what pooint you are coming from...

The bed was fantastic and the decor of the bedroom was lovely. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very pleasant. It was nice to have the bar and bar meals in the hotel, very nice selection of food.

Central location, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, good bar service, free wi fi, 5 minute walk to railway sation. Beer garden at the back

The only minor distraction was, you could hear the extractor fans from the other guests bathrooms when they where in operation in the night.

Tastefully decorated and well-appointed unit with a beautiful decor.

The room was cozy, with a garden access and dog-friendly amenities. The food was excellent, especially the steaks.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmostphere and ambience, the decor is amusing and interesting. All the staff were highly trained and efficient.

Hot breakfast with pastries and continental fare prepared by competent staff. Magnificent location near station, with lovely gardens. Nearby Cross Keys Inn - great place to chill out.
